A SOLIHULL woman who got to grips with tools and paints has been crowned the UK’s best lockdown home makeover.

Shereena Delaney, from Kineton Green, decided to post the pictures of her lockdown home improvement project to the Zoopla competition.

Shereena not only got the prestigious title but she was also handed £500 in home improvement vouchers.

She said: “This living space has really helped us as a family during lockdowns.

“We have been able to homeschool, have at-home parties as a family and make it fun for the kids and generally just spend time together in the space.

“The bi-folds bring the garden into the house too so the kids can run inside and out without paying too much attention to what is happening in the outside world.

“We’re really pleased with our lockdown home makeover, it’s added value to the property as well as increased how much time we spend at home.”

Her makeover wowed the judges at Zoopla.

Tom Parker, consumer spokesman at Zoopla said: “Getting stuck in with a home makeover or interior project can be really rewarding because it’s updating your living space and giving it a fresh new lease of life.

“Not only this, it’s adding value to your home should you wish to sell in the near future.

“That’s why many of us, after spending months at home, may have decided to reinvest some money on updating our living spaces.”
