BOROUGH MP Julian Knight has said his thoughts are with all those involved in today’s horrific terrorist attack in London.

Speaking from Westminster – where he and other MPs are in lockdown and expect to be so for several hours while the area is secured and casualties are safely treated and escorted to hospital – Mr Knight said his thoughts go out to the victims, the injured and all the associated families and witnesses affected by today’s terrible events.

He also paid tribute to the emergency services for their handling of the emergency and to the staff at the Houses of Parliament who have kept everyone safe and informed of events as they unfold.

“The atmosphere is very somber, as you would imagine, but we are all mucking in and looking after each other,” he added.

“We expect to be here for several hours while those in need are properly cared for and a full security swoop of the area is carried out.

“Again – my thoughts to everyone involved and my thanks to those keeping us and the London public safe.”
