Solihull Mayor takes time to visit Troop Aid

Solihull Editorial 27th Mar, 2018   0

SOLIHULL Mayor, Coun Stuart Davis took time out of his busy schedule to see for himself the hard work that goes on at Troop Aid.

The Mayor heard how the charity supports injured service personnel by providing each with a Grab Bag of basic essentials they don’t have if they have been taken to hospital.

tems in the Grab Bag include T-shirt and shorts, washing and shaving kit, towel, face flannel, toothpaste, toothbrush, shower mules, socks, underwear, pen and paper. Grab Bags are also provided for injured female service personnel.

The Mayor said: “Troop Aid does some incredibly valuable work for our service men and women who put their lives on the line for our country. It was great to see first-hand the fine work that they do for our injured armed forces. The Grab Bags that Troop Aid provide contain the essentials that they need at a very difficult and stressful time.

“I urge people to donate what they can, be it money, time or fundraising ideas, to this fantastic cause.”
