Solihull logisitics giant Palletline invests in youth for bright future

SOLIHULL-based Palletline Ltd has launched a new training programme designed to offer a bright future in the logistics industry to apprentices.

Linking with independent training provider Juniper Training the aim is to provide 16 to 24 year-olds with opportunities to obtain the necessary skills, experience and qualifications to progress onto either apprenticeships, employment or further education.

Juniper are an Ofsted rated Good provider which supports more than 2,000 students per year.

Kerry Kilgallon, apprenticeship employment engagement said: “Juniper Training are thrilled to announce their partnership in delivering apprenticeship provision for Palletline following a recommendation.

“Palletline are helping to develop the next generation and creating a fantastic opportunity for young adults.”

Vacancies have been advertised on the National Apprenticeship Service, and more than 100 applications were received.

Applicants were shortlisted and interviewed with the recruitment process producing four successful apprentice warehouse operatives for the company.

Graham Leitch, Palletline group managing director said: “Palletline are good at lots of things, but we’re particularly good at looking after our people.

“This programme is an excellent opportunity for individuals who want to gain experience within the industry.

“At Palletline we believe in enabling people to learn, grow and support each other to embrace challenges we may face and make certain our future is bright.”
