SOLIHULL Indoor Bowls Club rolled out the mat for residents and visitors to the borough to showcase the sport during Birmingham 2022.

Members from the Brick Kiln Lane club gave Silhillians, police officers and Commonwealth Games volunteers a chance to hit the jack during the festivities.

Club members, directors and staff manned the stall over three days which proved popular with visitors to Mell Square.

There was a daily competition with the highest scorer of the day winning a free 12 month membership.

The club is now getting ready to host an open day on September 3 from 10am until 2pm where residents can go along and try out the club facilities and meet current club members.

People of all ages are welcome to come along, the club has an electric wheelchair along with other disability aids which make the sport accessible to everybody.

The club’s new manager, Tom Millership, will be on hand to meet potential new members and answer any questions they have.
