THERE WERE smiles all round at Solihull Hospital when it was handed a top award.
Ward 14, Solihull Central Community Nursing and Shirley Community Nursing have been recognised for their outstanding contribution to student nurse education.
The certificate of appreciation is awarded to teams who have gone above and beyond for Aston University students on placement with the Lode Lane teams.
Jennifer Felton, practice placement manager for Solihull Hospital and Solihull community, said: “The area created a welcoming and inclusive environment offering support/guidance and valuable teaching opportunities. The positive nurturing atmosphere contributed to the overall placement experience.
“The contribution the team makes to supporting and developing our student nurses is genuinely outstanding, and it’s wonderful to see this formally acknowledged by Aston University.”
