HUNDREDS of runners are limbering up ready for the first Solihull half marathon and 10k this weekend.

Sunday’s (August 15) event will start in Mell Square and go through the town centre out towards Knowle and back to the Town Centre via Widney Manor.

Motivating the runners will be Personal Trainers from Push The Beat, a local fitness business specialising in outdoor exercise and group fitness.

There will also be sports massages on offer for runners before and after the event.

Kyle Smith, founder of Push The Beat, said: “We are thrilled and honoured to be leading the warm-up of this event and are looking forward to meeting the runners.

“Our local community are the main beneficiaries of our sessions, and we want them to run safely and have fun.

“At the end of the race, our team of sports massage therapists will be ready to calm the runners with a post-event massage as they rest their muscles. A welcome reward after such a fabulous achievement.”
