A SOLIHULL schoolgirl finally donated her hair to charity after spending almost a year waiting.

Shaan Purewal finally faced the hairdressers’ scissors and donated around 12-inches to The Little Princess Trust.

The 11-year-old has been wanting to give her hair to the charity which turns hair into wigs for sick children for over a year but decided to wait until she moved to Solihull from Dubai.

The Eversfield Preparatory School pupil said she was very nervous at first as she’s never had so much hair cut at the same time but had a good understanding of how this would help other children.

She also raised £290 for The Little Princess Trust.

Mum Raj said: “I was happy that she was able to donate to such a great cause.

“Her hair was beautiful and long, but probably getting a little too long for her to handle easily.

“What better place to donate than the Little Princess Trust and raise money for it too.”
