A SOLIHULL furniture shop manager has been shortlisted for a national award.
Nick Holmes from Loaf has made it to the final 14 of The Quadient store hero award at the Retail Week Awards 2022.
The award recognises everyday shop workers for their heroism, community spirit and selflessness on the frontline of retail.
Since being promoted to manager in May 2020, just as the store re-opened during the first lockdown, Nick has led the team at the Loaf showroom through the pandemic.
He also collected more than 500 Christmas trees across Birmingham in January to raise money for a hospice.
Nick said: “It feels absolutely amazing to be shortlisted for the Store Hero award at the Retail Week Awards 2022.
“As for many of us, the last couple of years have been a challenging and unpredictable time, but I am so grateful for the nomination and proud to be considered.”
Nick will find out if he has won the award at a special ceremony in London in May.
