A STAR-STUDDED line-up of celebrity chefs will headline the highly anticipated Solihull Food Festival later this month.

Taking place between Friday 23rd – Sunday 25th September, the free family festival will feature over 80 food and drink traders in Mell Square, Mill Lane and Solihull High Street.

The High Street will also host the live demo kitchen with four chefs taking to the stage.

Italian maestro Aldo Zilli, Jamaican-born favourite Rustie Lee, ‘Yummy Brummie’ Glynn Purnell and MasterChef 2022 runner-up, Pookie Tredell will all be showcasing their skills.

Organised by Solihull BID and supported by RR Events, this year’s event will feature the live music Rum & Reggae zone in Mell Square presenting the country’s top tribute act Rats In The Kitchen alongside brilliant reggae and ska musicians across the three days.

All chef demonstrations and live music performances are completely free to watch with seating available on a first come, first served basis.

You’ll also get a taste for what Solihull town centre’s very own eateries have to offer with free nibbles and drink tasters at the Taster Tent with the sought-after Restaurant Voucher Booklet providing amazing offers for your return visit.

Chef Aldo Zilli, part of the team behind new Touchwood opening Emporio Artari, said: “Food & Drink Festivals are amazing. I love them as it brings the best out of us chefs interacting with our customers.

“Solihull is a great area and I am really looking forward to be taking part in the Food Festival. See you all there for some Italian delicacies with Lucarelli Restaurants!”

Melanie Palmer, chief executive of Solihull BID, said: “Against a challenging economic backdrop, Solihull once again joins as a community to showcase what has now become one of the finest food festivals in the UK.

“This is the one event you must not miss. Food, music, fun and laughter in the wonderful, safe oasis that is Solihull.”
