A WOMEN only self defence session is being held at Tudor Grange Leisure Centre this Thursday, November 25 – and no matter what your age, shape, or state of fitness, you’re all welcome.
That’s the message from Solihull’s Gulshan Bano who runs a women’s and girls self defence business – ‘Strike Back Self Defence’.
The two hour session, which runs from 10am to midday, is free and Ghulsen says everyone who attends will pick up tips on basic self defence.
“It’s a very basic self defence workshop designed to coincide with the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women,” said Gulshan, an expert in ‘Krav Maga’ a form of self defence favoured by the Israeli and US military.
“It’s for all ages and all abilities, especially for women who would not normally come out for a class or who have never done anything like this before.”
November 25 is also international White Ribbon Day to highlight the horror of domestic violence and violence against women.
To take part, simply turn up on the day at Tudor Grange for a 10am start.
