Solihull Council Here to Help with spring sessions

Solihull Editorial 18th Mar, 2023   0

FREE advice on energy, housing and mental health will be on offer for Silhillians.

Solihull Council’s Here2Help scheme has teamed up with Citizen’s Advice, the Department for Work and Pensions and Act on Energy to host two more drop-in sessions in Fordbridge and Solihull town centre.

The events will see staff from the organisations giving advice and support on a number of topics including finances and work to make sure residents continue to get all the help they are entitled to.

The sessions are being held at The Junction, Chapelhouse Road in Fordbridge on March 22 from 10am until 2pm and at The Core on Homer Road on March 24 from 10am until 2pm.

Councillor Karen Grinsell, cabinet member for Partnerships and Wellbeing, said:

“If you’re struggling at all, please don’t go it alone, we are here to help.

“All the information is held in one place on the Council’s Here2Help web pages, however we want to ensure that people can access support in ways that work for them.

“In addition to the web pages, we have produced booklets and have a helpline.

“We have also arranged two more events for people who would prefer to talk face-to-face.”
