IN THE run-up to today’s 75th anniversary of VE Day, students from Solihull College and University Centre have found an alternative way of marking the occasion.
With parades and public festivities off the cards due to Coronavirus those studying at the college’s hair and make-up department have been creating 1940s-inspired looks.
The students have used a variety of techniques learnt on their course to achieve their results.
Hair and Media make-up lecturer Katie Miller said: “The challenge was to create a 1940s VE day inspired hair and make-up look, either on the student themselves or on somebody in their household.
“We were extremely impressed with the response from our talented students who really got behind this task and produced a range of skilled and creative looks.”
