KIND-HEARTED students at Solihull college and University Centre handed over a cheque to a borough breast cancer charity.

Event Planning students’ hosted a Big Cosy Tea party at the college’s Blossomfield campus and raised a whopping £625 for the Olton-based Breast Cancer Haven.

There was plenty on offer including a raffle, tombola, bake sale and of course tea and coffee.

Since the Breast Cancer Haven opened in October the centre has supported over 210 women and one man diagnosed with breast cancer in the borough.

The students aimed to raise money for Breast Cancer Haven as they provide free emotional, physical and practical support to anyone affected by breast cancer from the centres across the country.

Elysa Cooper, Community and Events Fundraising Officer at Breast Cancer Haven was delighted to receive the donation.

She said: “We are so grateful for the efforts made by Solihull College Events planning students at their Big Cosy Tea Party.

“The fantastic £625 raised will go a long way to helping people suffering with breast cancer.”
