Solihull College joins growing list of sponsors for Solihull BID Excellence Awards

SOLIHULL College and University Centre, which recently announced plans for a merger with Stratford-upon-Avon College, is the latest addition to the sponsors of this year’s Solihull BID Excellence Awards.

The college joining IM Properties, BNP Paribas Personal Finance, Phoebus Software, Touchwood and the Solihull Observer as a sponsor for the awards ceremony.

The annual Solihull BID Excellence Awards recognise the outstanding businesses large and small that make Solihull an exciting place to live and work.

The awards features seven categories: Outstanding Team, Best Customer Service, Best Apprentice/ Best Trainee, Outstanding Innovation and Enterprise, Best Independent, Best Hospitality and Leisure and Best Fundraising or Community Project.




Nominations are now open for the awards and the winners will be announced on November 23 at the St Johns Hotel.

Principal John Callaghan said he is delighted the College is sponsoring the Solihull BID Excellence Awards once again.


He added: “With the College’s strong ties to the community and local employers, sponsoring the awards allows us to further develop these relationships whilst celebrating the fantastic work done by businesses in the region.

“Our apprenticeship, higher education and professional course offer continue to be key sources of employer training and upskilling in the region and we intend to further grow in these areas working alongside Solihull BID.”
