AN AFTERNOON of song and dance will be hosted to remember 100 years since Armistice Day thanks to Age UK Solihull.

There will be performances from local dance troupe, Ladies Who Dance, along with vintage songstress Madeline Brown, at Solihull Royal British Legion Club on Union Road to mark the end of World War One on November 8, from 2 to 4.30pm.

Lorraine Hart, fundraising manager, said: “It’s important to mark this milestone event and although a sombre occasion, where we remember the fallen, we also want to celebrate the end of World War One with an entertaining afternoon, which brings the community together.”

A licensed bar for the purchase of alcoholic, soft and hot drinks will be available.

Tickets cost £6.50 and proceeds will stay in the borough to help Age UK Solihull support older people.

Tickets must be booked in advance from Age UK Solihull’s Fundraising Team on 0121 704 7842 or email [email protected]
