Solihull care homes calls for Christmas cards to spread festive cheer

Solihull Editorial 8th Dec, 2024   0

SOLIHULL care homes have put out a festive plea to Silhillians to send messaged of yuletide and cheer to residents and staff this Christmas.

The Priory, Ardenlea Grove and Ardenlea Court, which are run by Bupa, are hoping their local communities can help spread some joy and rally a sense of togetherness during the festive period.

Home bosses also hope to boost residents morale and make them feel more connected to their local communities, the cards received will be opened and placed around each home for everyone to read and enjoy.

Lorraine Ball, regional director at Bupa, said: “Sending and receiving cards is a tradition that many of our residents love, so this Christmas we wanted to make them feel extra special by showering them in cards from people from all walks of life.

“We know that receiving a card full of festive well wishes would really mean the world to our residents this year. It’s a small gesture of kindness which would have such a positive impact, providing residents with a great sense of warmth, support, and togetherness – the ultimate definition of festive cheer.”

Anyone wishing to send a Christmas card to their local Bupa care home, can post them to:

The Priory Care Home, 1 Shelly Crescent, Shirley, Solihull, B90 4XA
