A SOLIHULL care home has been handed a top award for its dedication to specialist dementia care.

Blythe Rose Solihull, part of the Macc Care Group, received the award at the Fairway and Embark Celebration of Learning, at Birmingham Botanical Gardens, in recognition of the home’s success in creating opportunities for people to build careers in health and social care.

The event brought together learners, care providers, stakeholders, referral partners and employers to celebrate the achievements of those who have completed training and taken important steps into employment.

Through the academy, 30 individuals have successfully joined Blythe Rose.

A total of six members of staff have progressed into Care Co-ordinator roles, while another is continuing their professional journey by working towards a Level 4 qualification.

Bhav Amlani, director of Macc Care Group, said: “We’re incredibly proud of the team at Blythe Rose for this well-deserved recognition.

“At Macc Care, we’re all about the belief that exceptional care begins with exceptional people and this award reflects the dedication and ambition shown by our colleagues every day.

“To see so many individuals not only join Blythe Rose, but stay and progress as future leaders, is something very special. And as a specialist dementia care home, Blythe Rose relies on people who are compassionate and committed to making a real difference.

“This award is a wonderful reflection of what can be achieved when good partnerships and quality training come together.”
