STAFF at Chelmunds Court care home are celebrating after receiving a Good rating from the Care Quality Commission.
The 73 bed care home on Pomeroy Way, Chelmsley Wood is run by Runwood Homes, it provides personal and nursing care to older people, especially those who are living with dementia.
Coun Tony Dicicco, the Council’s Cabinet Member for adult social care paid tribute to the team at Chelmunds Court: “This Good inspection rating across all areas demonstrates how hard the staff and manager have been working to deliver high standards of care for residents and keep them safe.
“The inspection report highlights feedback from residents’ families who describe the manager and staff as ‘fantastic’, and from staff who talk about the positive impact of the manager, Geraldine.”
Jeremy Richardson, Chief Executive of Runwood Homes, said: “We were delighted to welcome Cllr Dicicco to Chelmunds Court, and to see the home’s achievements celebrated by the local community.
“We will continue to support the Home Manager, Geraldine, and her dedicated team, to ensure they can provide the best service for our residents.”
Inspectors visited the home in August 2022 and gathered feedback from residents, their families and staff as well as reviewing care records.
