Solihull buses to change following announcement of new service

Solihull Editorial 27th Aug, 2022   0

BUS SERVICES in Solihull are set to change as children get ready to head back to the classroom.

National Express West Midlands has announced a new service, the 58S, will replace the 897 from Lode Heath School which is also for use by the public.

The 58S will start in Solihull town centre and will go onto Olton, Yardley Lea Hall Station and Kingshurst.

The travel company also said the 27S to Kings Heath Boys School will no longer operate and said customers should use the 27 and 76 as an alternative.

National Express say the latest confirmed changes will improve journeys by adjusting services to meet customer demand and take into account the expected rise in traffic from September.

Chris Gibbens, commercial director for National Express West Midlands, said: “Children are going back to school in September, so roads will be busier with more people travelling. These latest timetable improvements will help keep the region moving by enabling our buses to get our customers to where they need to be.

“A small number of services are changing to better serve the travel patterns of our customers, as well as bringing overall improvements for everybody – at the same great price. So we’d like to remind customers to please check the latest timetables before they travel.”
