BIN collection calendars will now only be available online which will save money and be better for the environment, Solihull Council chiefs say.
They said: “The new calendars cover collections from now until February 2021.
“The calendar for your address can be found on the council website by clicking the ‘bin collection dates’ link on the waste and recycling page and entering your postcode.
“The new calendars also include updated information on what should be put into each bin, as well as showing the times of year that garden waste collections take place.”
Previously, calendars were sent to each household in the post.
Council chiefs added: “Residents who do not have the internet at home can go online for free at libraries or use the self-service terminals at Connect walk in centres.
“No changes have been made to collection days.”
But Green Party councillor Tim Hodgson questioned the decision, saying many residents will be too old or disabled to regularly make trips to libraries or walk-in centres.
Having them in homes and on noticeboards also reminded residents to recycle, he said.
