WELLNESS coach and presenter of Solihull Radio’s ‘The Wellness Wednesday Show,’ Alison Swift has returned with 14 more tools to uplift and inspire in the sequel to her popular debut book ‘My Wellness Toolbox.’

In 2018, Alison began writing an online blog while on maternity leave sharing her own experiences on the crippling anxiety that led to her to hit ‘rock bottom’ years before.

“The blog was so well received, it became a book. Then before I knew it, I was a trained wellness coach, holistic therapist and presenting my own wellness show on Solihull Radio!” she said.

Following the release of ‘My Wellness Toolbox’ in 2018, Alison has now added the sequel ‘Your Wellness Toolbox’ to the bookshelf.

“It’s packed with even more tools to support people in different scenarios, from hospital appointments to family events… and even pulls out tools that can help you ride the waves of a global pandemic,” she said.

However despite her success Alison’s anxiety is something she still has to keep an eye on.

“Ironically after living anxiety free for over 13 years, about nine months after my first book was published, I started to experience anxiety and panic attacks again,” she said.

“Following a number of challenges and the loss of a family friend I went spiralling once more, heading towards rock bottom again… I was very scared.

“Yet my history led me to the right thing and I got the support and help I needed.”

In the midst of lockdown, home schooling, recording radio shows, dipping her toe back into her former life as an IT consultant, growing her wellness business and celebrating her 40th lockdown birthday, she wrote the sequel – Your Wellness Toolbox.

“Ultimately My Wellness Toolbox and the tools I was writing about in the new book helped me enormously and encouraged me to address the fears that were still hanging around.

“Thankfully, I have once again been able to heal and move forward.”

Alison is keen to point out she is not a doctor but says: “What I am is a young woman who experienced anxiety and depression. I know how it feels and I am a real-life example that you can overcome it.

“I help just one person, then I have achieved what I set out to do.”

Alison has been nominated for a number of awards and is a finalist for The Woman Who Achieves Solopreneur Awards 2020 founded by Sandra Garlick MBE, in the Inspirational Category.

Your Wellness Toolbox is released on January 28, 2021. ISBN: 9781800461185 Price: £9.99
