Solihull Apprenticeship Show returns

YOUNG people will have the chance to learn about career routes and opportunities available at the Solihull Apprenticeship Show this month.

Following the two hugely successful events which attracted more than 3,300 visitors last academic year, this free event will take place at Cranmore Park on Tuesday, October 24, from 3.30pm until 7.30pm.

Anyone who wishes to find out more about apprenticeships as a fantastic career route are encouraged to come along.

Attendees will have the chance to speak to employers and training providers from a range of sectors including manufacturing, construction, finance and hospitality. Exhibitors include JLR, Solihull College & University Centre, Virgin Media O2, Make UK, Paragon Bank, GMI Construction, the NEC Group, NHS University Hospitals Birmingham and Solihull Council.

Coun Karen Grinsell, deputy leader of Solihull Council, said: “We place young people at the heart of all we do to enable them to achieve their potential and lead fulfilling lives.

“Apprenticeships are great opportunities for young people to showcase their talent and develop new skills for work.

“They can earn as they learn, while easing the transition from school to work. Residents are encouraged to come along to see what is on offer and talk with those who can help them make that decision.”
