CELEBRATIONS are in order as a Solihull-based adoption agency marks its 10th anniversary this month.
Adoption Focus has placed nearly 400 vulnerable children from all backgrounds with adoptive families in the region over the past decade.
A celebration party was held for the families the agency has worked with over the years.
The Marston Green company was formed in 2009, having previously delivered the adoption service within the charity Father Hudson’s Society.
Since launching, the agency’s staff team has grown from 12 employees to 32, expanding to develop the service it offers, including a dedicated adoption support team.
The agency, rated as Outstanding by Ofsted, prides itself on providing lifelong support to all the families it works with.
Adoption Focus chief executive, Anna Sharkey, said: “We’re delighted to be celebrating our landmark, 10th anniversary this summer.
“We’re extremely proud of the work that we do, helping to provide safe, caring, well-prepared homes for children who have experienced a difficult start in life.
“Over the years, we’ve seen hundreds of families that we’ve worked with growing and thriving.
“This is why we do what we do and is a testament to our dedicated staff team, our trustees, volunteers and, above all, our marvellous adopters.”
Adoption Focus’s head office is in Marston Green and has offices in Staffordshire and Oxfordshire.
