Small is Beautiful festival ready to showcase Solihull's artistic flair

Solihull Editorial 28th Jan, 2024   0

SOLIHULL artists will take centre stage at a two night festival.

Small is Beautiful will see artists who live and work in the borough showcase their works from visual art to aerial, poetry to photography, musical theatre to dance at The Core on February 1 and 2.

The festival, which will be open from 7pm to 9pm both nights, has been developed by Culture Solihull to help support and develop the cultural and creative industries in Solihull.

Small is Beautiful aims to give both established and new artists the chance to try out new ideas, concepts and ways of working, and will feature live performances on both nights.

The works that will be showcased explore a wide range of topics and themes, and range from the playful to the serious.

In addition to the event, the visual art micro-commissions selected for Small is Beautiful feature in a free exhibition in the Courtyard Gallery at The Core, running until February 12.

Entry to Small is Beautiful is free but tickets must be booked in advance here.

Small is Beautiful is part-funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
