STAFF from The Sixth Form College, Solihull raised funds for a children’s hospice after running in the Knowle Fun Run.
The team, calling themselves Solihull Sixth Form Striders, consisted of around 20 members of staff.
It raised £890 for Julia’s House which cares for children and their families.
The team ran either the 5km or the 10km course.
The group smashed its original target of £250 and says it was thanks to the generosity of friends, family and colleagues.
Vice principal Jamie Staddon, who was on the team, said: “It was a great team effort and wonderful to see so many staff coming together for a good cause.
“We are grateful to those staff who helped organise everyone for this charity run and to all our friends, family and colleagues for their donations, which certainly motivated us on the day.”
