Shoppers set for virtual reality Santa sleigh ride at Touchwood this weekend

Solihull Editorial 27th Nov, 2017   0

SHOPPERS at Touchwood can jump on Father Christmas’ sleigh and go on a virtual reality ride across the north pole with his loyal reindeer friends.

On Saturday (December 2) Silhillians will be invited to take a seat in the super sleigh and don a very special VR headset, before being taken on a mystic and immersive festive experience.

Lucy Burnett, marketing manager at Touchwood, said: “Now’s the chance for our younger guests to see the world through our favourite Christmas character’s eyes! Sitting on Santa’s captivating sleigh with his loyal reindeer friends, those who take part will be instantly transported to the colder climate in which Santa calls home. From racing through a joyful town, to gliding over snow-covered plains and speeding between crowded highways, it’s a journey that will have them feeling festive in no time. We encourage everyone to come along and experience it for themselves!”

Touchwood claim throughout the festive season it is also providing the borough with a true treat for the senses.

Each experience offers parts from Christmases of yesteryear through the lens of today’s technology.

Father Christmas will also be continuing his residence in his enchanting new grotto, along with his trusted team of elves until December 24.
