SHOPPERS thronged the streets of Solihull this week as the government’s roadmap to the relaxation of lockdown restrictions came into force.
Pubs, hairdressers, barbers and shops all saw brisk trade and people gasping for a pint or a haircut or just to purchase some new clothes or shoes made their way to the high streets and shopping centres.
Shoppers were saying the borough had a holiday atmosphere, with people smiling and looking out for each other.
However certain restrictions still remain in place if the borough, and the country, is to beat the Covid-19 pandemic.
