A SHIRLEY hair salon has been nominated for four prestigious awards.
The team at Charlotte Paints Hair was named as a finalist in the Colour Salon and Creative Salon categories at the Salon Business Awards.
Grace Paget, mini painter and stylist at the Stratford Road salon also secured Best Newcomer nomination at the awards.
Grace started her career as an apprentice and has risen through the ranks – the salon says this is due to owner, Charlotte O’Flanagan’s, weekly training sessions for apprentices.
Grace said: “Being nominated for Best Newcomer is a total dream come true.
“Starting here as an apprentice and now being recognised on a national level feels surreal. It’s a testament to the incredible environment Charlotte has created where we are constantly pushed to be our best.”
Stylist Gaby also secured a coveted place on the Fellowship for British Hairdressing’s Project X 2026 – one of the most prestigious mentoring programmes in the industry.
The newly renovated studio was also nominated for Best Salon Interior.
Charlotte said: “I am beyond proud of the entire team; seeing Grace’s growth from apprentice to award-finalist and Gaby’s incredible achievement with Project X shows just how much heart we put into our craft.
“We’ve expanded the physical walls of the salon, but it’s the talent and passion of the people inside that truly make us who we are.
“This quadruple nomination is a celebration of every late night and every creative boundary we’ve pushed together.”
