A SHIRLEY care home left goody bags for passers-by to pick up on World Kindness Day.
The residents at the Fountains Care Home wanted to do something for the community so they filled the bags with sweets and other useful items and left the out on November 13.
The goody bag station on the Stratford Road had a sign which invited passers-by to help themselves.
SOnia Tenniswood said: “We were delighted that all the bags were taken and we also included a newsletter so as members of the public could read about the fun activities our residents had been enjoying, despite the lockdown restrictions.
“We asked that passers-by who took a bag sent us a hashtag on Facebook, with a picture and we were delighted to receive a picture of Danny, aged nine from Monkspath enjoying a goody bag.
“Mom Stacey sent the caption ‘Danny loving the gifts outside Fountains Care Home for World Kindness Day’.”
