Sheldon man charged with causing death by dangerous driving

A SHELDON man has been charged after a mother and daughter died in a fatal crash in Shard End.

Mohammed Ibrahim appeared at Birmingham Magistrates Court on April 9 for a first hearing.

He was charged with two counts of causing death by dangerous driving, and three counts of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

The 25-year-old will next appear before the city’s crown court on May 7.

Amanda Riley, 49, and Linda Philips, 72, both died in December, 2023, following a collision on Meadway at the junction with Kitt’s Green Road, in Shard End.
