SOLIHULL Council showed its support to the National Sexual Abuse and Sexual Violence Awareness campaign.
As part of the week long campaign – which ran from February 7 to 13 – individuals and organisations sent out a clear message that the UK collectively is saying ‘It’s Not Ok’ and to empower victims.
The aim of the week was to generate discussions among residents, statutory bodies and third sector organisations about sexual abuse and sexual violence.
Councillor Tony Dicicco, lead member for Public Health, said: “So many voices can often go unheard or with little recognition – but together we can make sure those voices that need to be heard, really are heard.”
