Sheldon scrap metal collector charged with robbery

A SOLIHULL scrap metal collector has appeared in court accused of threatening a woman with a knife before stealing her car.

Amin Mohammed Ali, from Brays Road in Sheldon, was arrested yesterday and later charged with robbery and possessing a knife in public.

It’s alleged the 26-year-old struck at the woman’s home address in Holywell Road, Sheldon, on March 30 this year.

He appeared at Birmingham Magistrates Court on Friday 20 April where he has been remanded into custody to appear at Birmingham Crown Court on Friday 18 May.
