School pupils roll up sleeves and take on litter picking duties

ACOCKS Green pupils rolled up their sleeves and went litter picking after school.

The group from Ninestiles School, An Academy, were supervised by Zara Ali the assistant principal for personal development at Ninestiles and collected several bags of rubbish from the streets and green areas around the school.

The school hopes to make regular efforts to clean up the area.

Alex Hughes, principal at Ninestiles, An Academy said: “I am so proud of our students for volunteering to contribute to keeping the local area clean and tidy for residents.




“They did a fantastic job and I know everyone in the community around the school will be grateful to them for their efforts.”
