School children find out how to look after the pennies

Solihull Editorial 8th Feb, 2024   0

SCHOOL children took a peek into the financial world in Solihull.

Greswold Primary School pupils visited Metro Bank on High Street for a Money Zone workshop.

Around 90 children took part in the four sessions on budgeting, saving, banking and the last session gave the pupils a behind the scenes look at the Bank including a visit to the vault and the chance to try the coin counting Magic Money Machine.

Solihull Metro Bank store manager, Kulvinder Dhana, said: “All the children were delighted to come into store and the highlight was meeting our mascot Metro Man.

“Learning how to manage your money, budget and save are fundamental life skills that everyone needs to learn. We are proud of our Money Zone programme and the difference it makes in giving these students a good grounding in their financial education, whilst still being fun and engaging.

“We received fantastic feedback and the children were very enthusiastic and excited to learn.”
