Save money on energy bills - The Solihull Observer

Save money on energy bills

WITH energy prices set to change again, Solihull Council is offering residents the chance to save money on their energy bills.

Big Energy Switch – which used to be called Solihull Switch ‘n’ Save – finds cheaper gas and electricity bills for people by using the power of collective bargaining with energy suppliers.

Solihull Council has managed the scheme since October 2015 and during that time has saved residents over £2 million.

The new round of switching is now open and it’s free to register to find out if the scheme can save people money, with no commitment to switch.

Although the aim is to save Solihull residents money on their energy bills, the Big Energy Switch is open to anyone, no matter where they live, as the more people who join, the greater the savings for everyone.

Coun Karen Grinsell, deputy leader of Solihull Council said: “The Big Energy Switch offers people the chance to save money on their energy bills.

“Prior to the recent energy crisis, we helped thousands of people to save money on their energy bills but were forced to pause the offer over the last year.

“As energy prices start to fall, we’ve restarted the scheme as a potentially useful way for people to keep on top of energy tariffs.

“The scheme does all the hard work and registering is easy. There is no commitment – wait for the results and see if it’s a better tariff offering savings.”

Visit https://bigcommunityswitch.co.uk/solihull/home or call 0121 704 6000 before the end of June 2023 to register.

People will hear after 3rd July 2023 if they can get a better deal.
