A NEW beauty salon, lounge and cafe have been installed as part of a multi-million pound renovation at a Solihull care home.
Residents at a care home in Solihull have been celebrating after the facility underwent a “stunning” refurbishment.
Care UK’s Blossomfield Grange, on Worcester Way off Dog Kennel Lane, has been given a £2.2million renovation to include a new private dining room, therapy room and activities lounge.
As well as a complete redecoration of communal areas the home’s internal layout has also been reconfigured to enable residents living with dementia to enjoy a safe and homely environment, while large specialist rooms have been created for residents’ wellbeing and nursing end-of-life care, which will allow families to spend time with loved ones.
The Mayor of Solihull, Councillor Annette Mackenzie, cut the ribbon to declare the home open again at a special ceremony alongside Blossomfield Grange’s general manager, Jag Singh.
The event saw the local community join residents and their relatives for an afternoon tea garden party, alongside live entertainment from musical duo Adante.
Jag said: “Our grand launch celebration to mark the completion of our refurbishment was a huge success. We have a splendid building, and it was the ultimate way to commemorate such an important milestone for Blossomfield Grange.
“Every element has been carefully considered to create and enhance this high-quality care facility.
“It was great to see everyone having a good time at our relaunch party. It was certainly a memorable day for everyone in attendance.”
