RESIDENTS living in a Solihull Community Housing project dyed their hair in order to raise £470 for the Marie Curie Hospice in Solihull.
It was one of the many fundraising efforts at an extra care scheme in Saxon Court in Marlene Croft, Chelmsley Wood, where community engagement staff from the hospice paid a visit to talk about their work.
A cheque was presented to Suzanne McArthur of Marie Curie Hospice by SCH wellbeing service manager Tracey Moorby and residents’ activities coordinator, Jo Tysall. Angela Miles, treasurer of the Saxon Court residents’ group, was also on hand to meet the hospice staff.
SCH chief executive Fiona Hughes, said: “Residents enjoy a great community spirit at Saxon Court and this always shines through with their fundraising activities.”
