RESIDENTS living close to the planned high speed rail link between London and Birmingham have been invited to speak with experts at a HS2 community event.
A information day will be held today from 2pm until 8pm at the Chelmsley Wood Town Council, on Helmswood Drive, and will give anyone living near the project a chance to ask questions from those working on the scheme.
Staff from HS2 Ltd will be available to talk about how the project is progressing and answer questions, as part of an ongoing programme of information sharing with local communities all along the 140-mile route of Phase One of HS2.
There will be a range of worker from disciplines including engineering, environment, property and community engagement to answer any queries.
Simon Kirby, HS2 Ltd’s CEO, said a new high speed rail network would bring significant benefits for the country but they did understand that it affected peoples’ lives.
“We want to keep on talking to local communities directly about the proposals and these events are a chance to do so,” he added.
“Our specialists will be on hand to help and I would encourage people to come along if they can.”
