As March approaches, marking nearly five years since the first UK Covid-19 lockdown, Citizens Advice Solihull is reaching out to the community to commemorate this significant milestone in our collective journey.
The past few years have presented unprecedented challenges – homeschooling amidst the chaos, adapting to hybrid work environments, maintaining physical distance, and learning to say farewell to loved ones from afar.
Citizens Advice Solihull invites residents to come together and reflect on their experiences during the pandemic in a heartwarming initiative.
To honour these journeys, the organisation have brought small wooden butterflies and hearts, encouraging community members to unleash their creativity by decorating these items and transforming them into beautiful keepsakes.
Once adorned, these unique creations will be displayed on the Citizens Advice Solihull cherry tree, proudly situated within Chelmsley Wood Library.
This creative endeavour aims to beautify the tree and symbolise the collective resilience and hope that emerged from a challenging time.
I am encouraging residents to join in this celebration of community spirit, creativity, and the strength we have all displayed during the pandemic.
The decorated butterflies and hearts will serve as poignant reminders of our shared experiences and testaments to our ability to persevere together.
Please collect your butterfly or heart from our office on Bosworth Drive, Chelmsley Wood, B27 5DZ or the library information desk.
We are the charity at the heart of your community. If you need any advice, information, and guidance, contact our adviceline at 08082 787976, Monday through Friday, 10am to 2.30pm.
