A MAN has died in hospital two weeks after being hit by a car in Acocks Green.

Alan Worgan suffered serious injuries after being struck by a VW Golf in Dolphin Lane, Acocks Green, at around 12.30pm on November 17.

The 45-year-old sadly died in hospital on Friday (December 4) and the family are being supported by West Midlands Police.

In a statement his family said: “Alan was a beloved son, dad, husband, uncle, brother and grandad. He was one of the nicest and genuine people you could ever meet and would do anything for anyone.

“He was a very hard working man, and he will be sadly missed by all his loved ones and friends.”

The driver of the car stopped at the scene and is helping us with our enquiries.
