A LITERACY group has been set up for adults across the borough to develop their reading and writing skills.

The initiative has been put together to help individuals with reading in everyday life – including job applications, form filling, school letters and newspapers. .

But Read Easy – a charity group entirely ran by volunteers – is in desperate need of a helping hand ahead of the first meeting this Monday (September 12).

The group is in need of reading coaches, committee members and financial support to provide reading course material to help the sessions get off to a flying start.

The first meeting will be held at Tesco (near Notcutts) in Shirley at 7pm.
