Rallying call for residents to back keep Meriden tidy campaign

Solihull Editorial 20th Jun, 2021   0

THE ‘Keep Meriden Tidy’ campaign has been launched by local MP Saqib Bhatti – with the weekend of July 3-4 targeted for the big community clean up.

Litter picks have been organised across the constituency including Knowle, Dorridge, Balsall Common, Hampton in Arden, Chelmsley Wood and Kingshurst and there’s still plenty of opportunities for residents in all parts of the area to roll up their sleeves and get involved.

“As your local Member of Parliament, I want to make sure Meriden constituency is a cleaner and more environmentally friendly place to live in,2 said Mr Bhatti.

“We all take immense pride in our community and that is why we must do our bit to protect the environment and keep it tidy.

“This will be an excellent opportunity to get together with your local community for a good cause.

“We have a number of litter picks ongoing through the weekend, so please sign up to stay updated and together, let us Keep Meriden Tidy.”

People can sign up at www.saqibbhatti.org.uk/keep-meriden-tidy expressing their area of interest and they will receive further details on the litter pick closest to them.
