Quizzers get thinking caps on and raise thousands for charity

QUIZZERS got their thinking caps on and raised more than £3,500 for charity.

Davisons Law joined forces once more with Solihull Moors and Shirley estate agent SmartHomes to raise funds for Cure Leukaemia at its Charity Quiz night.

The event saw over 100 people come together at the Armco Arena to take part in the quiz, which was once again hosted by Dangerous Dave.

Following the quiz, guests were able to take part in a raffle and auction with many great prizes to be won, all in an effort to bolster the fundraising for the charity.

The night proved a great success, with the funds going towards Cure Leukaemia, which offers potential life-saving treatment to patients across the UK.

Equity director, Darryl Wilkes said: “It was great to see so many people in attendance and taking part in the quiz to help raise funds for such a great cause.

“Cure Leukaemia do great work and hopefully the money raised can go a long way in helping them continue to do that great work.

“We’d also like to thank SmartHomes, Solihull Moors, Move Reports, and GrayPaul who all helped organise and offer prizes.

“This quiz night is a testament to how local companies and communities can come together to help raise money for vital charities such as Cure Leukaemia.”

This is Davisons first charity event of the year, with the firm already planning future events in the coming months in an effort to try and beat its total donation last year of £50,000.00.
