Preparations for Remembrance parades under way

Solihull Editorial 9th Nov, 2023   0

SOLIHULL will fall silent over the weekend to remember those who gave their lives for our freedom.

In commemoration of Remembrance Day, on Sunday (November  12), there will be a number of events including services and parades taking place across the borough.

There will be various road closures during the day and a full list of the closures can be found on the Solihull Council website, alongside maps and plans.

Solihull Mayor, Diana Holl-Allen said: “It is wonderful to have so many events taking place on Remembrance Sunday to pay tribute to our fallen heroes, veterans of past conflicts and those who continue to serve in our armed forces.

“There will be some road disruptions, so I remind residents to observe the list of closures prior to Sunday to avoid any inconvenience.

“I encourage everyone in Solihull to take a moment to reflect on Remembrance Day and what it may mean to them.”
