Police officer injured after brick thrown at patrol car in Chelmsley Wood

A POLICE officer has been left injured after a brick was thrown through the window of her patrol car in Chelmsley Wood.

The brick hit the officer on the back of the head as she and a colleague waited for a recovery vehicle to arrive after suffering a flat tyre in Maytree Close.

The officer was left ‘shaken and upset’ after the incident which happened at around 11.15pm on Sunday.

A potential suspect was riding a bike and was dressed in black clothing, say West Midlands Police.




The brick was thrown through the rear window while the officers were completing some paperwork.

The officer was treated for minor cuts at the scene.


West Midlands Police said: “Fortunately she is okay − although she is shaken and upset about what happened.”
