POLICE have named Khalid Masood as the man behind Wednesday’s terror attacks in Westminster.
The 52-year-old was born in Kent, but is believed to have been living in the West Midlands.
He was not the subject of any current police investigations, but had a range of previous convictions.
He hired the car, which he used to carry out his atrocities, from a hire firm in Shirley.
Police made a number of arrests in Birmingham in the wake of the tragedy.
Masood was shot dead by armed police.
