POLICE are appealing for information after a pensioner died following a collision in Solihull last week.
Pauline Wilkes, aged 83, suffered serious injuries after being struck by a Mercedes A class in New Road, Solihull just before 5pm on Thursday, July 1.
She was taken to hospital but despite the best efforts of medical professionals, died the following day.
Detective Sergeant Paul Hughes, from the serious collision investigation unit, said: “This is a deeply distressing time for Pauline’s family and friends who are being supported and request privacy to grieve at this devastating time.
“Our investigation is ongoing to establish what caused the collision and I am keen to hear from anybody who was in the area or may have dash cam footage and hasn’t already spoken with us.”
The driver of the Mercedes remained at the scene and is helping with our enquiries.
