POLICE have launched a hunt to find knife criminals after two separate stabbings took place in Chelmsley Wood with 24 hours last week.

A man was stabbed in the back multiple times, on Hedgetree Croft, last Tuesday (August 2).

The victim was rushed to hospital with non-threatening injuries and is said to be a stable condition.

Police believe the incident to be a targeted attack and are currently following a number of leads.

The second incident, which took place on Wednesday, happened within a mile from the first stabbing.

The 19-year-old, who was stabbed in the back on Crabtree Drive, stumbled to Bosworth Medical Centre with slash wounds and was later taken to hospital to be treated.

Officers are not treating the two incidents as linked as this stage.

Police are urging anyone with information to contact 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
