POLICE want to speak to a woman following an alleged theft in Olton.
West Midlands Police have released a CCTV image after jewellery was taken from a woman on St. Bernard’s Road on July 23.
A statement released by the force said: “She was at the cemetery at The Friary when she was approached by a woman who appeared to be upset, and as they walked together, the woman put an arm around her and removed two necklaces she was wearing.
“We’re investigating and have stepped up reassurance patrols in the area following the incident.
“Following a review of CCTV, we’d like to speak to the woman pictured as part of our enquiries.
“We know the pictures aren’t the clearest, but we have also included an image of the stolen jewellery as any information could be vital to our investigation.”
Anyone who recognises the woman, or have any information which could help, should call police on 101 and quote crime reference number 20/323917/25.
